Janelle Norlien has been Mount Zion’s bookkeeper for 17 years. She manages all financial transcations including accounts receivable and account payable. She can answer any questions you may have about Mount Zion’s cemetery. Janelle and her husband Robert, have three children. 

Michelle is the Religious School and Administrative Assistant. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2010 earning a B.A. in Communication Studies with minors in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature as well as Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. She will be working with the Board of Directors, doing event set ups and calendaring, and working with the Lower School program. She is excited to have the opportunity to get to know more of the congregation especially the children and families. She enjoys running, traveling, and cooking for her friends and family.

Teresa Matzek started at Mount Zion as our Education Assistant and Bulletin Editor where she worked for nearly 3 years, but with her background in Graphic Design and interest in helping to market Mount Zion, she began her new role as Communications Coordinator. In this position, she will be in charge of all publications at Mount Zion including: the monthly Bulletin (Iton Tziyon), the weekly e-mail This Week at Mount Zion, the Shabbat cards, holiday communications, program brochures, etc. Teresa also maintains the Mount Zion web page and helps manage the internal technology needs.

Sheila Schuman is the Office Assistant.  Sheila and her husband Martin moved to Minnesota 32 years ago and have two children and four grandchildren.  Luckily, they all live here in the Twin Cities and they get to share in their lives.  Before starting their family, she taught first grade for seven years in Jamaica, NY.  She is thrilled to be working at Mount Zion.  If you have any questions about yahrzeits, contributions, tours, or any general office inquiries, please contact her at sschuman@mzion.org and she will be happy to help you.
